Clarinetist Gordon Daole-Wellman has performed across the country as a recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. Previously a Fellow with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, he performed throughout the Chicagoland area and also led interactive performances and workshops at schools, retirement homes, and community centers. He has performed in spaces as varied as Boston Symphony Hall, the Zhou Brothers’ Arts Center, Chicago’s Symphony Center, and a repurposed warehouse in Oakland. He has participated in masterclasses for such renowned artists as Frank Cohen, Martin Frost, and members of the Imani Winds and Windscape Wind Quintet, and has worked with conductors including Marin Alsop, Ken-David Masur, Michael Stern, Brett Mitchell, and Rossen Milanov. Gordon holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His principal teachers have been Michael Sussman and Luis Baez.
